Training Courses


Training courses for current and trainee teachers, are run periodically at Sue Pryor Swimming, including:

  • AustSwim Course - Teachers of Swimming and Water Safety.
    A comprehensive course over 3 days run by an accredited Austswim presenter, Sue Pryor. Successful completion of this qualification is required for anyone wishing to teach swimming in Australia.
  • ASCTA Learn to Swim Course - An alternative option to the Austswim Course.
  • ASCTA Junior Squad and Assistant Coach Course - (formerly Green License).
  • AustSwim Infant Teaching - Sue Pryor is a qualified Infant Presenter.

Sue Pryor Swimming also offers further training in the SPS Method for those interested in becoming part of our teaching team. Opportunities for training in specific teaching topics are also offered periodically.

Sue recently successfully conducted an SAT (Swim Australia Teacher) accreditation course and JSAC (Junior Squad and Assistant Coach) course.
